THE PROCESS AND THE UNIT IS PATENTED

| The gas is washed co-currently with water
containing an oxidizer. This effectively collects the dust, oxidizes the sulphur gases and
the mercury, which are then collected by the wash water. The solids are removed from the wash water and the clean solution is recycled to the scrubber or stored or discarded as required.

| The process has received one of the top honours for inventions in Norway, the
"REODOR" prize for year 2000, and it was handed to Dr. Thomas (Tom)Thomassen,
the inventor and Miltecs manager, at a Christmas dinner last year, by the Norwegian
Industrial and Regional Developement Fund.

| MILTEC AS (Inc) was started in 1991 as a
consulting company in chemical and environmental engineering. Dr. Thomas (Tom) Thomassen, received his Ph.D. from one of Scotlandīs finest universities, The University of Strathclyde, in Glasgow, where the Chancellor, Lord Todd, was a Nobel laureate in Chemistry. Dr. Thomassen has received several patents and has published many papers. Most of his working life has been spent in R & D. Dr. Thomassen has gained industrial experience by working for several years for Falconbridge Limited in Canada and Nikkelverk AS in Norway. The Miltec AS company is located in south Norway, at the seaport of Brekkestoe in the coastal township of Lillesand.
